Post Matric Scholarship
The Government of Andhra Pradesh disburses Post Matric Scholarships (PMS) and other educational scholarship schemes worth Rs. 5,000 Crore annually to 17 Lakh students belonging to SC, ST, BC, Minorities, Kapu, EBC, and Differently-Abled communities, on a saturation basis. Various educational scholarship schemes worth Rs.1,500 Crore are administered through this scholarship portal towards making access to higher education democratic. This will improve the demographic dividend potential.
Who can Apply?
The following are the eligibility criteria for the Post Matric Scholarship Scheme:
- The candidate will be a post-matriculation student in a college.
- The income eligibility criteria are as follows:
- Scheduled Caste – Rs. 2 Lakhs
- Scheduled Tribe – Rs. 2 Lakhs
- Backward Class – Rs. 1 Lakh
- Minorities – Rs. 1 Lakh

How to Apply for Post Matric Scholarships?
You can check online by following the given below steps.
1. Go to the official website – https://jnanabhumi.ap.gov.in/
2. Now click on the “Post metric scholarship” option as shown in the picture.
3. After that, you have to click on the “How to apply” option as shown in the picture.
4. Now you have to download the scholarship form, for downloading the application form, you have to click on the option as shown in the picture.
5. After that, Fill-in the JSAF form and submit the signed copy of the same to the College Principal.
6. The principal of the college verifies the details filled in the JSAF and submits it online through an official website at the time of admission. On successful completion of the same, the student receives an SMS confirming the successful submission of their application.
7. The student has to visit the Mee Seva center, he provides his application ID and Adhaar number to get his application form online. If the student wants to verify the details, make an amendment if necessary, submit an application that he has to give his biometric authentication.
Post-Metric Scholarships Application Renewal
Candidates availing of the scholarship will have to renew the application year as the candidates will move on to the next year. For renewal, they must submit a renewal application form. It requires the students’ current year’s entry date and the previous year’s roll number and a hall ticket number.
On successful renewal, they will receive a confirmation via SMS. At the time of renewal, candidates can update their mobile, email ID, bank account before biometric authentication.

Government with a view to assisting parents of SC / ST / disabled children for their education wards studying in classes V and X so that the occurrence of drop-outs, especially in transition primary to the secondary stage is shortened, and SC participation is improved. Children with / ST disabilities in classes V and X of the pre-matriculation stage, so that they perform better and there is every possibility of progressing to the post-matriculation level of education.
The government has this scheme has been introduced to provide financial assistance to all SC / ST / disabled students. Local bodyboards run the Zilla Parishad, pursuing an education in the schools run by the government. And a government-assisted municipality or school.
Who can Apply?
- Students from SC / ST / BC / Disabled communities have an income limit of Rs.2 lakhs yearly.
- The students from class 5th to 10th are from the community, SC / ST / PWD are eligible.
- Students belong to the BC community, only 9th and 10th class are eligible to apply.

The following steps have to be followed while applying the Pre-matric Scholarship Scheme:
- The online application is available on the official website. The student or principal of the school has applied online through the link provided on the website.
- The student provides all the required details in the application form.
- After submitting the details, the concerned Hostel Welfare Officer (HWO) will confirm the application and details through the website.
- After confirmation from the HWO, District welfare officer sanctions the scholarship.
JnanaBhumi Pre Metric Scholarships Application Renewal
You can check online by following the given steps.
- The student or principal of the school just click on the renewal registration form and enter its Adhaar number and last year’s application number.
- Details of the student will be displayed. Students can change the required details (if any) and submit an application for renewal.
How to check Scholarships Application Status?
You can check online by following the given steps.
1. Go to the official website – https://jnanabhumi.ap.gov.in/
2. Now you have to click on the “Login” button which is given in the top-left side of the home page of the website as shown in the picture.
3. After that, enter the login ID and password, and captcha code.
4. Now you have to click on the “application status” option.
5. The current status of the application will appear on the screen of your desktop/mobile.
6. Candidates can check their application progress.
Note: Candidates can also receive SMS if applications are accepted. Therefore, candidates are advised to submit their registered mobile no. And the email ID remains active throughout the process.
